Fruit Of The Spirit Affirmations— Faithfulness

Continuing onward in our look at each of the fruits of the Holy Spirit and how affirming them cultivates intentional mindfulness within us.

Affirmations are a statement intended to provide encouragement, emotional support, or motivation, 

In Philippians 4:8, Paul gives us instructions on what we should think or meditate about. 

\”And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.\” Philippians 4:8— NLT

According to Wikipedia, In common language usage, \”fruit\” usually means the seed-associated fleshy structures (or produce) of plants that typically are sweet or sour and edible. The fruits of the Spirit are fine points that should naturally grow out of the proceedings of the Holy Spirit in our life. 

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, Goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23— NLT

Fruits of the Spirit affirmations are based upon Scripture to inspire us to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit in our daily lives. The word \”Spirit\” in these affirmations will be capitalized because these are fruits given to us by the Holy Spirit, not ourselves. 

The fruits of the Spirit are:

• Love
• Joy
• Peace
• Patience
• Kindness
• Goodness
• Faithfulness
• Gentleness
• Self-control

Each affirmation consists of scriptures, positive affirmations, and questions to motivate you to go deeper in meditation and study time.  

Say the affirmations and scriptures out loud as you work through the study.

Faithfulness

Here on earth, we have places considered \”Wonders of the World.\” places that stand the tests of time and amazement. 

Some are natural, and some are artificial. And still, some are underwater. Some are relatively newer. Some are old—like really ancient. But what they all have in common is how amazing they are to see and experience.

They are considered steadfast and constant wonders. But, through the years, the list changed, as did its title: New Wonders of the world, Natural Seven Wonders, and Modern Wonders of the world, to name a few.

Some of these include

— The Treasury at Petra, Jordan

— Christ the Redeemer, Brazil

— Grand Canyon, USA

— Aurora Borealis

— Perito Moreno Glacier, Patagonia

— Times Square, New York, USA

— Burj Khalifa in Dubai, India

— Grand Lisboa, Macau, China

In other words, the list was initially intended to be steadfast and unchanging. But, over time, priorities and traditions changed. The steadfast rule became not so steadfast.

But

The Spirit calls us to a different definition of steadfastness or faithfulness. It\’s not meant to change. Our faith is trust and conviction interconnected to the Bible and what the Bible says about God. You must believe in His existence, works, and character. There is only one prerequisite to this faithfulness.

Ending Faith

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

Hebrews 11:1-3— NLT

I choose faith until the end. 

The chapter of Hebrews 11:1-13 introduces us to the Heroes of Faith. Their belief and trust in God remained steadfast until their end.

 — Can you place a name beside each example? As you read, prayerfully consider how their faithfulness can inspire your commitment to hold your faith until the end.

Walking Faith

I choose to walk in faith along a path that is narrow sometimes, following after the King of the UNIVERSE to a heavenly home. I sometimes walk and run but never give up because of my faith. 

The path we walk is charted by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.
